My lessons aim to help students learn and understand the subject and curriculum. For me, tutoring is about identifying how a student best learns and getting them the grades they want. I tailor lessons based on each individual and their strengths and weaknesses and prepare lessons in detail to understand the topics they struggle with and provide additional projects if needed during a session. As a younger tutor (age 16), I often find students are more willing to talk to me about topics they struggle with and why lessons aren't working for them. I prioritise students who are currently working at a 6- or below, but also students who are engaged and willing to learn. Typically, my lessons are approximately 1 hour long, once a week but I like to discuss with the student(s) and guardian(s) what will fit their child best as some students may require additional support.
