About Jivsy Heart

Hello, I'm Jivsy Heart! I hold a degree in General Science and have gained valuable hands-on experience as a preschool teacher and kindergarten adviser. This experience has equipped me with the patience and adaptability necessary for teaching math and science online. Additionally, I have completed 40 hours of TEFL training and am currently pursuing a 120-hour TEFL certification. Although my primary focus isn't English, this training has greatly enhanced my ability to communicate concepts clearly and effectively to learners at various levels.

My approach is professional and adaptable, allowing me to teach all levels from beginners to advanced. I strive to create a structured and supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and confident in their progress.

About the lesson

My teaching approach starts with understanding each student's unique thought processes before delving into new topics. Recognizing that everyone learns differently, I break down concepts into small, manageable steps and continuously check for understanding. This allows me to adjust my pace and explanations until a concept truly resonates with the learner.

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by an introduction to the new concept using simple examples. Then, we work through practice problems together, concluding with a recap to ensure the student leaves with a clear understanding of what they learned and what areas to focus on moving forward.

What sets me apart is my genuine patience and encouragement, especially for students who may feel anxious about math or science. I prioritize clear, jargon-free explanations, and my TEFL training informs how I structure lessons to accommodate various learning styles. I also keep meticulous records of each student's progress, ensuring that lessons build on each other rather than starting from scratch each time.

My lessons are designed for learners of any age, with a particular focus on young students and beginners who are developing foundational skills in math and general science. I also excel in providing extra support and a calm, structured approach to those who may need it.
