About Isla
I am a passionate drum tutor with 9 years of professional teaching experience. I teach high school students, college students, and elderly learners. I have guided around 150 to 200 students in their musical journey so far. My biggest success is seeing my students perform confidently in concerts, school programmes, and college events. Some of my students joined bands, while others continued drums as a lifelong hobby. Their growth is my greatest reward. I believe learning drums should always be joyful and simple. I teach rhythm, timing, coordination, and technique in an easy-to-understand way. I encourage regular practice and positive self-belief. For elderly students, I focus on stress-free and relaxed learning. For young students, I focus on confidence building and strong basics. I teach with patience, care, and clear guidance. Teaching drums is my passion, and I always strive to bring out the best in every student.

My drum teaching methodology is built around real-life examples, motivation, problem-solving, integrity, and flexibility. I use real songs and band recordings to explain how rhythms are used in real music. Students understand groove, tempo, and coordination clearly through live music examples and practice tracks. Motivation is a key part of every lesson. I create a friendly and encouraging environment so students enjoy learning. I guide them to stay patient and consistent. When students face problems such as fast beats, complex fills, or weak coordination, I apply simple problem-solving methods. I divide every difficult part into small practice steps. Integrity is one of my strongest teaching values. I believe in honest guidance, regular practice, discipline, and respect for music. Students learn responsibility along with musical skills. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons based on student age, learning speed, and personal goals. Besides drum lessons, I also teach rhythm training, basic keyboard, music theory basics, and performance preparation.
