About Lyra

As an experienced ESL tutor with 8 years of hands-on teaching practice, I have helped over 150 students develop strong English communication skills across all levels. From beginners learning basic sentence structure to advanced learners improving professional fluency, I support students at every stage of their learning journey. About the lesson

My ESL teaching approach is built on Flexibility, Empathy, Compassion, Clear Communication, and Collaboration, creating a learning environment where students feel confident, supported, and motivated to grow. I focus on making English learning simple, practical, and enjoyable for students of all levels. Flexibility allows me to customise lessons according to each learner’s needs—whether they are preparing for school, work, travel, or everyday communication. I use interactive strategies such as role-playing, conversation drills, listening practice, grammar application, and vocabulary exercises to strengthen all language skills. Empathy and compassion help me connect with students emotionally and understand their learning challenges. I provide constant encouragement and positive feedback so learners feel safe to make mistakes and improve. Through clear communication, I ensure that explanations are easy to understand and concepts are applied practically. Collaboration is central to my teaching. Students actively participate in goal setting, practice sessions, and progress reviews. In addition to ESL, I also support learners with spoken English, interview communication, public speaking basics, and academic language skills. My goal is to help students develop lifelong confidence in using English.
