About Alice
Having experience helping primary and middle school students with English, in France, I want to try something similar with England.
I mainly cared for young persons with either learning difficulties, behavior issues or with a bad social upbringing. Working with the FEVE, a volunteer association aiming to help kids with a difficult environment to succeed, has built my experience as a tutor.
I worked with hyper active primary school students before, trying to get them interested by mixing traditional lessons, to outside activities.
I also worked with middle schoolers that had trouble focusing, because of psychological reasons, or just because they were bored. Adding anecdotes, stories, reference they could relate to helped them.

Depending if the student is advanced or just began recently, I will change my methodology.
However, during the first lesson, I would hold a 10 minutes conversation to get the interests and the needs of the learner, to be able to tailor the next class.
I often ask the students a book, movie, art work they like, and use it for class material, to keep them focused on a topic that they find interesting hence, making the class feel meaningful.
I believe, the more one hears, reads, writes and speaks, the more progress there will be. I may ask from some light homework, such as writing a sentence a day, watching a film we could use in the next class.
After those lessons, I would hope the learners will be able to construct clear sentences, express their own ideas logically, and master a genuine French vocabulary.
Finally, if the students is a minor and parents would like to discuss with me, I would gladly answer any question.
