About Yasti
Hello! My name is Yasti, and I am a qualified Geography graduate with an Honors degree in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Pretoria. I am passionate about helping others understand their work and helping students build their confidence and competence in their learning.
I bring a strong academic foundation together with professional experience in research and data analysis, which allows me to teach geography in a way that is structured, analytical, and grounded in real-world understanding. My approach is more than simply covering content- I focus on helping students develop critical thinking skills, interpret information effectively, and understand why concepts matter, not just what they are.

My approach to tutoring is student-centred, structured, and supportive. Every student learns and understands concepts differently, and so tutoring lessons are catered to the student's strengths, pace and overall level of understanding.
All lessons are well structured and student-specific. Lessons include reviewing the past week's school syllabus; identifying point of concern; providing clear explanations on certain topics the student needs; working through examples in alignment to the school syllabus; studying techniques; and feedback on development areas. Geography tutoring is aimed at high-school (grade 8-12) CAPS level education.
My lessons are only conducted in English.
