About Tanner
I was trained as a structural geologist before becoming a geophysicist. Structural geologists are required to have a mastery of trigonometry, linear algebra, and geometric principles in order to find out what forces shaped the Earth. I have been teaching and giving lessons for almost 4 years now and have really enjoyed it.

I really try to make sure students have a tangible connection that they can relate course material to. In a natural sciences course I would place great emphasis on connecting work we do in the field to principles we learned in the classroom. Similarly, in a mathematics or physics class I would make sure to provide real world connection or experiments that we could relate back to theoretical principles.
