About Michael
I am a Georgetown graduate who is working remotely with a Washington think tank while serving as a reservist with the US Army in Honolulu, Hawai'i. I have experience working with students and adults who are English language learners. Most of my previous students were native Chinese speakers (from Taiwan) but I have also worked with native Spanish and French speakers, working to improve the accent and spoken English of each individual.

I believe all students have the capacity and ability to both enjoy and excel in any subject material. Patience and focus are integral to keeping with steady improvement, as is the need to build upon/reinforce the foundation that a student already has. Engaging all senses through writing, reading, speaking and listening can help maintain focus, vary the kind of work involved, and overall improve the student's understanding.
