About Felix
Hi, I'm Felix! I am a student at Georgetown University hailing from Dallas, Texas. I have experience tutoring students in reading comprehension, math, and a variety of elementary school level subjects. I have also tutored high school students on the SAT. Additionally, I have a plethora of volunteer experience working with young children.
I started college when I was 15, and one thing that I learned as a high achieving student was that one of the greatest tools I can have in my belt for academic success was believing in myself. Now, I enjoy helping younger students reach their potential by boosting their self confidence and guiding them through the material in a way that is both informative and fun!

For reading/language arts tutoring, I work with students on improving overall comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and analyzing texts. For math tutoring, I believe that discovering the way that each student approaches problems is key, and I tailor my instruction based on individual needs. When helping students prepare for the SAT, we practice specific, repetitive strategies for each section that will leave them feeling capable, confident, and prepared when test day arrives.
I am also especially focused on building the confidence of the students I work with. A lot of the students I tutor begin with doubts about their own abilities, and I see part of my job as helping them believe in themselves. Every student is capable, and confidence is a big part of success!
