About Susann

After many years as a co-worker of a large German company in the field of corporate communications, I have been self-employed for more than five years as a teacher of German as a foreign language and as a non-medical practitioner for psychotherapy. Most of my students speak English. Most of the lessons are done as a one-to-one training and take place both at work and at home. But I also have experience in group lessons with up to 10 students. In addition to the German training, I offer from my professional experience as a psychotherapist (HPG) out presentation training and manners of general business communication. Empathy and willingness to communicate belong to my abilities, which are important also to motivate people from problematic conditions.

About the lesson

Classes are based on mixed learning. The basis is a specific textbook. The grammar is visualized through pictures and graphics. The texts are supplemented and discussed by current, interesting topics, so that the ability to communicate can be trained through discussions. Games, picture stories or songs relax the lessons and train the memory. I am very careful to tailor the lessons individually to the needs of the student.

Perfect! Susann ist sehr erfahren und geduldig im Umgang mit ihrem Schüler. Es gab eine ausgewogene/abwechlungsreiche Mischung aus Dialog und Grammatikübungen. Mein Wortschatz konnte sich kontinuierlich verbessern im Laufe der Zeit, was nicht zuletzt auch der Situation die Fragestellung und Inhalte der Hausaufgaben verstehen zu müssen geschuldet war ;-). Für mich haben sich am besten Unterrichtseinheiten von Einfachstunden (2x/Woche) wegen des hohen Konzentrationsbedarfs bewährt.

Susann is a great teacher and very flexible person. At the beginning, she wanted to know what was my goals and did everything to help me to reach them. We did a lot of exercices to improve my german grammatical skills and she trained me to be ready for a german interview. I really recommend Susann.
