I am a teacher with 2 years experience teaching in Secondary School and 5+ years teaching grinds.
I have prepared many students for their LC exams, often with a specific focus on the oral exam
My approach for the oral exam:
Check student's preparation for the exam thus far
Fill in any outlying gaps that may exist
Practice sections in a methodical way
Provide feedback
Give the students a homework task
My approach for the written exam:
Identify an area that needs to be focused upon
Use exam questions to develop the student's skills and teach any gaps in the learning
Provide feedback
Give the students a homework task
My approach for the listening exam:
Identify student strengths and weaknesses
Use the transcript of the listening exam to aid students in their preparation
Extract key vocabulary and add this to a shared document/student's notes
Practice
Give the students a homework task
