About Anton

I have been building websites since the 90s! It's mostly been done as a hobby and as an entrepreneurial & community-based activity.

I built a big football website in the late 90s, and contributed to & administered another for many years. I have built & managed websites for some of my employers, and have kept pretty up-to-date with changes in the HTML & CSS specs.

I develop on a Mac, deploy and run my websites & email accounts on a VPS (virtual private server), and use PHP & Javascript in websites I build where dynamic content is required.

I code every day in various other languages, assisting private clients and building my own projects.

➤ Identifying & fixing bugs in websites / web apps
➤ Advice on technology choice for a web project
➤ Getting unstuck: Mentorship with web development (using external courses & resources)

️ What isn't included here:

✘ Basic computer / internet literacy (student / hobbyist / business-level IT competency required).

✘ A web development curriculum (yet). There are so many resources out there for free or nearly-free, it's of little use for me to build my own course curriculum. I can recommend resources, and even better if you've already found some of your own you're ready to follow.

Better still is to have a project you're building or want to build – you'll be super-motivated to succeed, and I'll want to see you succeed in building it. This is without a doubt the best way to learn.
