STUCK ON YOUR PERSONAL STATEMENT?
I can help!
Do you feel like you have no interesting experiences to write about? Have people told you that you need to talk about some kind of traumatic childhood story in order to get in? Then you’ve come to the right place, because neither of those things are true. I truly believe that everyone has a good story to tell - they just aren’t aware of it, or they don’t quite know how to tell it. I can help you with that.
As a former admissions committee member, I can assure you that personal statements are the most important thing when it comes to your application, especially if your stats are below average. I am a first-generation law student who has had to navigate the law school admissions process without any assistance. I am now in my third year of law school. Beyond personal statements, I can give you good advice, including a list of dos and don’ts. If you are feeling overwhelmed, please book a session with me.
DO I NEED TO HAVE MY PERSONAL STATEMENT REVIEWED?
Absolutely. You can only apply to law schools once per year. If you don’t give it your best shot, you will have to wait a whole other year to reapply. Personal statements are what set you apart from the thousands of other law school applicants. Let’s face it - the stats are very similar. You need to paint a story, and that story needs to be interesting and told well.
I know what law schools are looking for. I can also give you more insight into what law school and lawyering is like, if you are still on the fence about applying. It’s often a $100,000 decision - don’t take it lightly. It is necessary to do research and speak to people in the field.
