About Sourav
Sourav Choudhury, an IIM Ahmedabad Alumnus (AGMP) and PGDBA from Symbiosis, Pune, is an ardent Marketer, Trainer & Strategist. He has trained 1000+ MBA school students across India on marketing, sales, and distribution and facilitated them to be industry credible. His Marketing (Offline and Online) expertise makes him a profound trainer, coach, and mentor in the fields of Marketing, Sales & Distribution. He is a Professor of Practice at K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai. Prior to this assignment, he was a Visiting Professor at the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (NITIE) for PGDIM, PGDIE & PGDSM Management Program Marketing Course and Narsee Monjee Institute of Management for MBA students. He was also an Adjunct Professor for BBA, GMBA, and EMBA courses at S.P. Jain School of Global Management ranked #40 in the 2023 QS International Trade Ranking. He was an Adjunct Professor (Marketing) at N. L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research in Mumbai for PGDM and PGDM Business Analytics Management Program. He is also heading the Consulting & Management Development Program for the Institute. In his corporate journey, he has worked with Nestle (26 yrs), Brenntag (2 yrs) & McCormick (5 yrs) for 33 years. He also worked in the Marketing Consulting domain for 3 years. His experience & expertise is in Brand Building, Brand Communication, Media strategy, Market research, Shopper Marketing, Trade marketing, Digital Marketing & Social Media Marketing, Building Robust Distribution networks, Launching New Products Nationwide and Conceptualizing Sales & Distribution strategies to build Brand presence & equity. He is passionate about Capabilities and leadership skills development for corporate and individual professionals. He was a Management (Marketing) Consultant and founder of Smarketing Strategy Consulting, a consulting venture that works with FMCG start-ups. He is also the founder of The Digital Business School, an educational academy for digital marketing training and other digital programs. He is also associated with Kraftshala (an online training platform for B-School students to gain industry-driven knowledge in FMCG marketing and sales) as a coach and mentor to B-School students as well as a member of the modules creation team, MSMEx (A Training platform for MSMEs) and YSI (Young Skill India) an AICTE approved venture for skill development as a trainer, coach, and mentor to the students and professionals.
