About Hayden
Playing music for 13 years has taught me that the best lessons happen when the student is actually having fun. I have guided 322 students through the frustrating process of learning their first few chords on the electric guitar. My time spent in recording studios and dive bars gave me a deep appreciation for rhythm and tone. I hold a BFA from Belmont University, which helped me organize the scattered lessons of my early years into a clear curriculum.
Being a gigging musician means I understand what works on stage versus what only works in a quiet bedroom. I have spent 12 years refining my ability to explain complex concepts without using dense jargon. Most of my students appreciate that I can take their favorite songs and turn them into simple arrangements that fit their current skill level. It is important to me that you feel capable of handling the instrument during our time together.
I prefer to keep things light and focused on making real progress rather than just memorizing scales. Let us work together to find your sound.

Stepping into the studio feels like plugging an electric guitar into a vintage amplifier for the first time. We spend time on strumming patterns and lead guitar work to build your confidence. You might be an adult returning to the instrument or a kid starting out for the first time. Accuracy is key.
We integrate reading tabs and sheet music to ensure you have a complete education. 12 years of playing professionally means I have seen every common error you might make. I can help you fix your technique quickly. I know how to prepare you for grade exams if that is the path you choose.
It is honestly quite satisfying to watch a student nail a difficult transition for the first time. We enjoy the process of making noise.
