About Clarissa

Hi there! I'm Clarissa, your typical third culture kid - I grew up in Los Angeles, Paris and Beijing, China before moving here to London in 2019, and am a native French speaker. I'm also a professional actor, so I'm excited to bring a new type of tutoring style to you. I believe in catering to the individual student in whatever learning style helps them best, whether that be visual, kinaesthetic or simply practice questions. The principle I base my lessons around is that the student understands why we are learning.

I believe in catering to the individual student in whatever learning style helps them best, whether that be visual, kinaesthetic or simply practice questions. The principle I base my lessons around is that the student understands why we are learning.

I treat the process as a learning experience on both ends in which I learn about the student’s needs to help them reach their full potential. Don't be surprised if our sessions include going outside, doing a play or a big art project. Not only is this simply just more enjoyable, but I also believe that the best way to learn is through activities that we enjoy. The student will be more passionate about what they are learning and feel truly involved. Not to mention it teaches one of the most valuable lessons in any subject: real world application.
