I’m a drum teacher with 6 years' of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education. I love helping students grow in both skill and confidence. My approach blends traditional drumming techniques with modern music. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and interests. I focus on clear communication and step-by-step learning. Students gain strong foundations in rhythm, technique, and timing. I believe in keeping lessons fun yet productive. You’ll learn songs you enjoy while developing essential skills. My teaching environment is warm and encouraging. I help students set achievable goals. Practice is approached in a manageable, motivating way. I work with beginners, hobbyists, and developing performers. My goal is to make drumming feel exciting and accessible. I take pride in helping students overcome challenges. Lessons focus on timing, hand independence, stick control, groove, dynamics, rhythm reading, and expressive phrasing. I incorporate structured exercises, song practice, play-alongs, improvisation, and ensemble activities to provide a well-rounded musical foundation. Students receive guidance on effective practice habits, goal-setting, and ways to track progress to ensure measurable improvement. My teaching environment is positive, encouraging, and motivating, fostering creativity and building confidence. Lessons emphasise listening skills, musical analysis, and practical performance applications, allowing students to play comfortably both solo and in groups. I encourage exploration, personal expression, and experimentation while maintaining structured growth. Students learn to develop their own style, improve coordination, and strengthen technical skills. I celebrate achievements, guide learners through challenges, and help set realistic, inspiring goals. Drumming is not just a skill but a form of expression, discipline, and creativity. Each session is designed to be productive, engaging, and fun, ensuring students leave with new knowledge, inspiration, and confidence. My ultimate goal is to help every learner become a skilled, expressive, and versatile drummer capable of performing in a variety of musical contexts.
