About Lynette

During my four years of studying education, I was a full-time intern student at Sunridge Primary School (bilingual school) in Port Elizabeth, based on the coastline of South Africa, where I had the opportunity to engage in all the foundation phase classrooms (Grade R to 3; age: 5 to 9-year-old learners).

I am currently teaching Computer Remedial Reading and Literacy for Grade 1 to 6 learners since my third year of being an intern. I am a passionate teacher in the classroom and a dedicated coach for the first team girls’ hockey (the under 13 A team). I also have experience in coaching learners from grade 1 to 3.

I am currently studying towards my postgraduate diploma in Inclusive Education through the University of South Africa. My long term goal is to achieve a Doctoral Degree in Inclusive Education.

About the lesson

I believe in holistic education;

This focus is to teach with a concern with the development of every learner's intellectual, emotional, social, physical, artistic, creative and spiritual potential. Part of my duty as a teacher is finding ways to engage students in the learning/teaching process and encourages personal and collective responsibility.
