About Kevin
My name is Kevin, and I am a software engineer at Google and a computer science graduate of Cornell University. I have experience building and debugging full-stack applications, working with algorithms and data structures, and turning complex technical requirements into reliable software.
I know that programming can feel frustrating when the logic makes sense in your head but the code behaves differently. I aim to create a patient, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I take every student’s goals seriously, arrive prepared, and explain concepts with the same care and precision that I bring to my professional engineering work. Whether you are encountering programming for the first time or developing a more advanced project, I will meet you at your current level and help you become a more confident, independent problem solver!

My lessons focus on helping students understand what their code is actually doing, rather than memorizing solutions that only work for one problem. I ask students to explain their current thinking, trace execution carefully, and identify the exact point where their expectations stop matching the program’s behavior. From there, we work toward the solution together.
A typical lesson begins with one concrete goal. We review the relevant concept, work through the student’s problem collaboratively, and then use a similar example to make sure they can apply the idea independently. I end each lesson with a clear summary of what they learned and what they should practice next.
As a Cornell computer science graduate and software engineer at Google, I can connect classroom concepts to the way software is designed, tested, and debugged in real engineering environments. I am patient, methodical, and honest about gaps in understanding. I will not simply take control of the keyboard or complete an assignment for someone; I want students to leave knowing how to approach the next problem without me.
My lessons are best suited for high school and college students, coding beginners, CS majors, and early-career developers seeking help with programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, debugging, technical interviews, or substantial software projects.
