About Carl
Spending 13 years performing acoustic sets across the South and Southwest has shaped my specific approach to the fretboard. I admit that I started teaching only because open mic regulars kept asking how I managed certain rhythm techniques. My formal training comes from a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Industry at Belmont University.
I have spent my career balancing the sacred traditions of gospel with the raw emotion of the blues. These 13 years in venues have taught me the value of honest performance. I can help you with strumming patterns, acoustic technique, and complex songwriting.
We will also work on improvisation, soloing, rhythm guitar, and challenging barre chords. Ear training and chord transitions are central to how I guide my students. Fingerpicking is another area where I provide detailed technical support. Hope to see you soon for some music.

My degree from Belmont University ensures that our time remains organized and productive. I really love watching a student finally nail that tricky transition.
