About Josiah
Hey Hey! How's it going! What's shakin' bacon? How goes it?
Josiah Whitley is the name, and I am a professional guitar teacher and musician. I have played music for over 26 years ranging from bluegrass and country to folk and heavy metal. I have played well over 1,000 shows across half of the continental US, and I have taught hundreds of kids and adults over the last 15 years, some of which went to play on the Grand Ol Opry and attend Berklee College of Music.
You don't know how to hold the guitar but wanna learn how to play it? I got you.
You have been playing for a while and want to learn to play lead? I got your back.
You can do all of that but you want to learn theory and develop your ear? You're in luck.
If you wanna know how to do it, I can show you how on your guitar. I would be thrilled to help you on your journey to being a better musician! So let's do it to it!

Each lesson is individually tailored to the student's needs! All ages and experience levels are welcomed.
What sets me apart from other instructors is that I'm not one of those "stuffy" burned out, bitter musician who became a teacher to make ends meet. I became a teacher because I'm extremely passionate about music and helping people learn about it.
The famous Cowboy Jack Clement said, "we're not in the music business. We're in the FUN business. And if we ain't having FUN, we ain't doing it right." He is SO right! I want you to have fun while you learn and I want you to leave lessons feeling empowered and emboldend by what you can do, the feeling that you learned someting, and most of all, I want you to leave lessons each week feeling happy.
