About Spruha

I love learning, reading, listening to music and sports. I also love teaching and talking about some of my favourite subjects: which include biology and chemistry. I have worked as a teaching assistant in Spirit of Math - school for gifted children. I have also completed the pre IB program.

In addition, in my free time I have volunteered at Boomerang Health clinic- powered by SickKids. In my experience I have worked with SLPs, and disabled children. I have also worked to teach writing (both online and in person).

About the lesson

Highschool gpa -4.0. Thus my knowledge of the current curriculum is the strongest as I recently finished these courses. I have always loved “teaching” from a young age, and I am not new when it comes to explaining concepts. I have been tutoring since April of 2021, and have received great feedback from all of students.

The lesson will consist of asking any homework questions, which they can send beforehand via email/text. I will make sure to explain the concept thoroughly, and do practice problems until the concept is fully absorbed. I will also provide hard questions to mock thinking questions on the test, which can help increase critical thinking skills and problem solving techniques.

I met Spruha in high school Chemistry and she made organic chemistry a fun topic to learn! She took her time and used many analogies to ensure her students were grasping the topic. She has many tips to do well on a test and most importantly, her passion about the subjects she is teaching (especially biochemistry) is very evident when she is giving a lesson.
