About Iksha

Hi! My name is Iksha, and I am an incoming Computer Science freshman at the University of Florida. Throughout high school, I challenged myself academically by taking 17 AP courses and successfully passing all of them while maintaining a 4.6 GPA. I will also be graduating ranked 7 out of 429 students in my class.

Math has always been one of my strongest subjects. I earned a 5 on the AP Precalculus exam as well as a 5 on both the Algebra and Geometry EOCs. I have also completed AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics in high school.

Outside of academics, I am heavily involved in leadership and extracurricular activities. I am a student leader in multiple clubs and also co-founded and run my own organization. I enjoy being creative through hobbies like sewing, and in my free time I love spending time with friends, watching movies, and reading.

About the lesson

I specialize in helping middle and high school students succeed in math through personalized and student-focused tutoring. I currently have a 4.6 GPA, a 1460 SAT score (730 Math), and have completed 17 AP classes, including 5 math-focused AP courses. I mainly tutor Algebra, but I can also help with AP Precalculus, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC.

My teaching method is centered around the individual student and the specific concepts they struggle with most. At the beginning of lessons, we discuss what areas feel confusing or challenging, and I build lesson plans specifically tailored to those needs. Every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching style and pacing to help them feel confident and successful.

During sessions, we can focus on homework help, preparing for quizzes and tests, reviewing class material, or even starting from the basics if a student wants a stronger foundation before moving forward. I break down problems step-by-step and explain concepts in a simple and understandable way so students can truly learn the material instead of just memorizing formulas.

What sets me apart is that I recently completed many of these advanced math courses myself, so I understand the challenges students face in today’s classes and know strategies that actually help students improve. My goal is not only to help students raise their grades, but also to help them feel more confident and independent in math.

My lessons are best suited for middle school students, high school students, Algebra students, and students taking advanced courses such as AP Precalculus and AP Calculus AB/BC.
