About Osuare

Hi! I’m Osuare—a passionate, experienced tutor with a strong academic foundation and a heart for helping students succeed. I’m currently in medical school with a 4.0 GPA, and I’ve served as a tutor, anatomy teaching assistant, and peer mentor for several years. Now, I’m excited to expand my tutoring to support middle and high school students as well. I understand that each stage of learning comes with its own challenges. Whether you're navigating high school biology for the first time or gearing up for college-level exams, I bring patience, clarity, and structure to every session. I break down complex topics into understandable pieces, use real-world examples to spark interest, and build personalized study strategies to help students grow in both knowledge and confidence. My teaching style is friendly, encouraging, and highly adaptable. I take pride in making students feel comfortable while pushing them to reach their potential. With a solid track record of academic success and a genuine passion for teaching, I’m here to help students of all levels succeed—not just in school, but in how they approach learning as a whole.

My approach to tutoring is centered around active learning and critical thinking. I use a combination of Socratic questioning, visual aids, analogies, spaced repetition, and practice questions to help students not only retain information but also understand the underlying concepts. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style—whether they are more visual, auditory, or hands-on—ensuring engagement and comprehension throughout. Each session begins with a brief review of the previous topic and clarification of any lingering questions. We then move into the new material, starting with an overview followed by a deep dive into the content using interactive discussion, diagrams, mnemonics, and clinical correlations where applicable. Toward the end, we reinforce the lesson through active recall and practice problems. I always leave time for a Q&A and provide a quick summary and study tips for independent review. I bring both strong academic knowledge and real empathy to the table. I’ve been in the trenches of medical school, so I understand the pressure, pace, and mindset students face. I’m approachable, adaptable, and committed to helping students build confidence as much as competence. I focus not just on memorization, but on developing strategies that stick—so students leave with tools they can apply across subjects and exams. I currently tutor other medical students and my lessons are ideal for students preparing for the USMLE Step 1, NBME exams, or foundational science courses like anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, and biochemistry. But I am hoping to expand into tutoring middle school and high school level science. I also work well with students who need help structuring their study plans or overcoming test anxiety and burnout.
