About Jacob
I am a senior pre-med student Neuroscience Major with experience in Chemistry research regarding the chemistry of wine. I have extensive experience in rigorous STEM coursework, including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, psychology, and standardized test preparation such as the MCAT and SAT. I have navigated this rigorous coursework all while maintaining a 3.9 GPA and while being a DIII wrestler. Having successfully navigated challenging AP courses, college science classes, and competitive exams myself, I understand both the academic content and the study strategies needed to excel.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades and test scores, but also to build their confidence and independence as learners. I create a supportive, professional, and judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through difficult concepts. Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs, whether they are preparing for an AP exam, strengthening their foundation in a science course, or aiming for a higher SAT score.

As a senior pre-med student, I specialize in helping high school and college students succeed in challenging science and math courses, including AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, SAT Math, and pre-med subjects. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong conceptual understanding rather than memorization alone. During lessons, I break down complex topics into manageable steps, use practice problems to reinforce learning, and teach proven study and test-taking strategies. A typical session includes reviewing difficult concepts, working through guided examples, and completing targeted practice tailored to the student's goals. What sets me apart is my recent firsthand experience excelling in rigorous STEM coursework and preparing for competitive exams, allowing me to relate to students' challenges and provide practical advice for academic success. In 2026, we cannot ignore the influence of AI. My students will learn to use AI models such as Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude, as AI models can be excellent tools for efficient learning if used appropriately.
