About Nathan
I am a Graduate Student for Biomedical Engineering but also spends a majority of my time helping students who struggle academically. Growing up, I was not always the best student academically. I did not deem myself unintelligent, however I had a hard time in the classroom setting and at home with assignments. Later I had learned that what I had experienced was a lack of Executive Functioning Skills.
Executive Functioning - There is no singular definition of executive functioning (EF). Most experts agree that executive functions are responsible for the following behaviors and skills
❖ Paying attention
❖ Organizing and planning
❖ Initiating tasks and staying focused on them
❖ Regulating emotions
❖ Self monitoring (keeping track of what you are doing while you are doing it)
I have worked with countless students and have successfully developed a strategy for building that foundation of success.

My job will entail guiding your students in developing mastery of school subjects to create proactive weekly strategies for success. These strategies ensure that your child create quality work, which is turned in on time, and that they effectively study for all tests and quizzes while building healthy habits to manage their coursework with extracurricular activities.
I also specialize in STEM related Academic tutoring (more specifically math and science) to help students who struggle with certain concepts or general material
I have been tutoring for 3 years (online and in person) and have taught for 2 years (both online and in person) and have had success with dozens of students throughout my career as a private tutor.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect one on one with a student to not only help them academically, but to help them set goals and schedule their time more accordingly so that they develop habits of proper studying, time management and overall motivation.
