About Anne
I have a Bachelor of General Studies with concentrations in Biology, Chemistry, and English from the University of Michigan. I have worked part-time in several labs for many years and have a passion for facilitating scientific discovery with children. Hands-on learning is my favorite methodology, supplemented by inquiry, discussion, and visuals. However, I am not limited to the life sciences. Earth sciences and Physics are intriguing too, if taught well.

Aware that not all of us learn the same way, I have approaches that include hands-on, visual, and auditory learning preferences. I adjust the pace of new information to fit the student's processing rate so as to neither over- nor underwhelm my student. Generally, a lesson begins with inquiry, followed by the lesson, and further inquiry. It is a joy to me to help open my student's minds to these life-enriching disciplines.
