About Sophia
Hi! I’m a Grade 8 conservatory-certified pianist with a passion for music and teaching. I’ve been playing piano for over 10 years and have developed a strong foundation in both performance and music theory.
I really enjoy helping others learn and grow, and I understand that everyone learns at a different pace. That’s why I focus on creating a supportive and comfortable environment where students feel confident and motivated.
As a student myself, I know how important it is to have a teacher who is patient, encouraging, and easy to learn from. My goal is to make lessons both effective and enjoyable so students can build skills while actually having fun.

I take a personalized approach to teaching and adjust each lesson based on the student’s level and goals. I focus on building strong fundamentals like technique, rhythm, and reading music, while ensuring lessons stay fun and engaging.
A typical lesson includes warm-ups, working on pieces, and some theory. I like to include songs that not only challenge the student, but that they actually enjoy, so they stay motivated.
My lessons are great for beginners and intermediate students of all ages. I try to create a comfortable, supportive environment where students can build confidence and improve at their own pace.
