About William
Hi! I'm William, a recent Year 11 leaver.
Along with fresh knowledge of mark schemes and the first-hand experience of sitting an exam, I:
- Am on track to receive all 9s in STEM, including further and additional maths
- Achieved 159/160 in mock GCSE Computer Science (top 5 nationally)
- Presented a research project into affordable prosthesis at Imperial College (prize winner)
- Have an offer for a University Maths School
- Achieved 2 As (highest grade) in mock AS Level Computer Science
I am passionate about developing reasoning beyond pre-set, regulated syllabi. I want to help develop problem-solving skills past the mastery of arbitrary problems, so that you can be well-equipped for making any hard, analytical decisions that may come up.
While after GCSEs you may never factorise a quadratic ever again, I believe that the core ability to understand how to do something (and well!) is important whether you're 18 or 80.

I'm looking to take ambitious Year 9+ students to Grade 9 level and beyond!
I teach online with Google Meet + Miro, but I am able to change this to accommodate.
In the free session, we'll go over critical areas and knowledge gaps that may not have been realised before. Based on this, I'll cover topics that will have the most impact on grades, and go deep into foundational ideas.
I aim to teach not just the spec and mark schemes, but to dive deep into the core ideas behind certain techniques. I want you to feel as if you could have invented a technique yourself, and be able to apply your reasoning to problems past the specific type of question we're studying!
Additionally, with access to a network of students from a specialist maths school, I am able to collaborate to develop methods that are often more intuitive and efficient than even official solution sheets! I can't wait to share this with you.
