About Eleanor
Hi, I'm Ellie and I am currently a BA(hons) Fashion Art Direction student at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Media was my favourite subject in school and it has been a shame to drop some of the content since beginning my degree- so I thought to keep this knowledge fresh I would get into tutoring! I have also been asked to go to my old college during exam season to mentor current students, so it's important that I do keep it fresh.
In the MFI, we still cover a lot of theories though, and I recently did a study and 3000 word essay on Postmodernism in fashion magazines, so I promise that even though I am no longer a media student- I still know what I'm talking about.
I used to mentor my classmates a bit too, since they were my friends, I am used to a relaxed and chill environment in my sessions and this is how lessons will generally go.

I prefer a relaxed method of teaching that is generally student-led based on what they feel they are struggling with.
Focus on how to answer exam questions will be balanced with content-related lessons.
I specialise in theories- especially postmodernism theory.
I sat Eduqas WJEC exam board, but I can do any exam board.
Lessons can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or an hour- depending on student preference.
My lessons are best for A-level media students, but I can also teach GCSE media.
