About the lesson

All lessons I plan are customized with respect to students needs and levels as each learner has his or her own strong and weak points.

I focus on three important parameters while planning lessons
1. Technical exercises.
Effective piano playing is more than just pressing notes. It is important for learner to maintain appropriate dynamics and rhythm flow effortlessly. For this learner requires to build finger strength. There are many exercises available through online platform and in books. But this exercises are to be practiced in different ways by different learners. Further technical knowledge includes everything from scales, arppegios, chords, how to transpose etc.

2. Theory knowledge.
Learning theory is observed to be avoided by most of the learners which prevents further growth. I teach theory through practical playing methods which helps learner to enjoy music as well helps them to understand piano with more depth. Learner gets to learn how to read and write his own scores.

3. Music playing is ultimate goal of piano playing. All learners have there own choice of songs and pieces which they want to learn to play on piano. While there are certain pieces in piano learning process which cannot be avoided, I keep about 60 to 70percent of music learning section of learners choice which includes songs( learner can choose any song of any language, proper score sheet is transcribed for them), pieces etc.

4. Ear Training.
While learner gets to learn about how to read and play, it is equally important for learner to develope listening skills. This includes everything from listening and transcribing music, composing etc.

I update my methods from time to time as growing with knowledge is the most important method in music learning process.
