About Zora
Hi! I'm Zora, a 16-year-old A-level Biology student and beginner tutor based in the North East. I recently achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Separate Biology and Chemistry, so I have a strong understanding of the KS3 and GCSE science curriculum.
Although I am new to tutoring professionally and am still getting used to the ropes, I have always enjoyed helping others learn. I grew up teaching my younger sisters about science and have developed a real passion for making science easy to understand while encouraging curiosity in young people. I also worked with the National Saturday Club for two years and am currently training to become a Student Assistant, giving me experience working with young people and understanding that every student learns differently. I am currently offering Biology tutoring primarily to KS3 students. As a new tutor, I am keen to build my experience and develop my teaching skills alongside helping students discover how interesting and enjoyable Biology can be!

I aim to make Biology clear, engaging and easy to understand rather than relying on students simply memorising information. I will adapt lessons to each student's needs, whether they need help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for a test, or building confidence with Biology.
As I have recently completed my GCSEs and achieved a Grade 9 in Separate Sciences Biology and Chemistry, I understand the areas that students can find challenging and can explain concepts from a student's perspective.
Lessons will typically last one hour, with flexibility depending on the student's age and needs. I can use a mixture of explanation, questioning, diagrams, practice questions and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging.
I am a beginner tutor and am currently offering lessons primarily to KS3 students (ages 11–14) studying Biology or general Science. My aim is to create a friendly and comfortable environment where students can ask questions and develop their understanding at their own pace.
I am particularly suited to students who would benefit from a tutor who has recently experienced the GCSE curriculum themselves and can make Biology feel less intimidating.
