A grade 11 student who has a love for math and science, is patient, and helps kids ages 5- 14

I’m in the same math class as her, she helps me in math class when I am struggling. She has a very patient style of teaching and is thorough when teaching, making sure to start from the basics and build up. One time in math class, I didn’t understand why when in a vertex equation; f(x) = a(x-p)^2 + q, that the p value when being added moves to the right instead of the left of the coordinate plane, and she explained to me that the p value is always being subtracted, so it is - (-p) when p is being added because a negative times a negative equals a positive. I recommend her to the other members because she’s helped me a lot throughout math class and without her I would’ve failed Math 20.

She is an excellent teacher. She simplifies complex math concepts in a good manner. She is also gentle and professional in dealing with students.
