About Stephen
I have worked in almost every school setting with almost every type of student. I have taught and tutored in urban public schools, suburban private schools, churches, universities, an alternative school, and more. I have worked with gifted students, students with severe disabilities, and everything in between. I know how to instantly custom-fit a lesson for each student based on their abilities, interests, and personalities. I have a B.S. in Mathematics from North Park University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University.

I always like to ask "WHY?" at the start of every lesson. When students understand WHY they're learning something, their brains will automatically be much more motivated and focused.
One of the most common mistakes I see teachers make is that they try to get through the material as quickly as possible and they often skip steps. I take pride in breaking difficult subject matters into steps that anyone can follow.
I, as a teacher, easily get bored, so I like to inject as much humor and fun into my lessons as possible. You'll be surprised how much you learn when it seemed like we were just having fun the whole time.
