About Maria Theresa

learning should be enjoyable and relatable so that the students don't feel the heavy burden of the lessons. That's why I am here to be your study buddy. I'm a dedicated tutor and I am willing to help you understand your lessons and eventually apply what you learn. I help you simplify hard lessons to more understandable approach by giving you real examples. I also give honest and constructive feedback in order for you to track your progress. I also tailor my session to your goals and most importantly your learning style. My goal as your teacher is simple, that is to help you master the lessons so that in time you'll feel confident doing it on your own.

About the lesson

My teaching method and techniques is I make hard lessons simple and relatable. I make real examples visuals. I connect to everyday life examples. I offer step by step guidance to my students. Hard lessons are broken into simple and manageable items into easy simple steps so that that the students can handle the lessons one at a time. I make every class a memorable one and so do I make an activity that they can incorporate to the lessons. I just don't like the memorization thing, I want the students to learn the main principle of the lesson. About my lesson plan, this will be the style :

1. Quick warm-up and recall (5 min) - Quick 5 minutes review of the students to see what they remember about their previous lessons.

2.Lesson introduction (10 min) -After the quick recall of the previous lessons, proceed to the presentation of the lesson for the day. For 10 - 15 minutes introduce the lessons, the main idea/concept with real life examples.

3. Guided Application (15-20 min) - 15-20minutes of practice or activity of the lesson discussed in order for the students to have mastery where I will guide them through each step.

4. Independent application and wrap-up (10 min)- A five minute activity that will challenge the students to test their skills and after the 5 minute activity, to sum up the day/ class another 5 minute recap of the lessons that are tackled, in order to assess the student and to see what to practice next.
What sets me apart from other teacher is that I let the student feel that i am just not a teacher but i am their study buddy. I am their study partner. I give them direct feedback that can help them improve. My lessons are tailored across different kinds of academic levels. I am best for students who wants step by step help of the lessons.
