About Stephen
My name is Stephen, I am 25 and I chose my college course due to my love for chemistry and am continuing on using chemistry I learned in both leaving cert and in college in my day to day job in R&D at PepsiCo.
I want to teach students as I know the pressures that the leaving cert can present in all subjects but especially chemistry as it is quite a broad curriculum with difficult themes and on exam day I have the methods that will keep the students grounded and as relaxed as possible so when answering questions they remember the common themes I have taught.
If it is a student who is struggling and looking to pass the subject or if you are looking to boost up to H1/H2 I have methods for both to understand chemistry and execute their answers on exam day.

My personal approach is to nail down their approach to the exam papers so they are capitalising on marks available which will build confidence in the student and also reiterating common calculations that may be thrown across the exam papers so that when they’re in the pressure situations like in their mock exams/leaving cert exams they will be comfortable in remembering these equations/calculation methods to maximise marks.
Emphasis will also be put on lab questions as a minimum of 2/3 of these must be answered.
I will also be able to use my experience from industry and my degree to give real life examples where themes in the chemistry curriculum are used.
