About Laia
Hi! My name is Laia and I'm from Spain. I have been living in London for over 6 years and I have a degree in Chemistry, three years of lab experience, and I’m currently finishing a Psychology degree. I enjoy helping students understand tricky concepts and feel more confident in their learning. Teaching is rewarding, and I love seeing progress in others.

I've been tutoring before in Spain for 3 years and been an au pair in London where I also helped with homework for my host kids. I focus on building a strong foundation by making complex concepts simple and relatable. I use a problem-solving approach, lots of practice questions, and step-by-step explanations to help students gain confidence and independence. Lessons are interactive, tailored to individual learning styles, and adapted to each student’s pace and goals. Lessons usually will cover 60 minutes, but I can offer 90-minute sessions for deeper topic coverage or exam prep. I’m currently completing a Psychology degree with a strong science and maths background. I have several years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students both online and in person, helping them improve grades and study techniques.
