About Michaeld
As a tutor, establishing trust, through confidentiality, is the apex of teaching and learning; it creates a healthy academic environment, relationship, discourse and dialectic between students and teacher, thus allowing the educational process to flourish. From 2009 to 2019 I earned my General Education Development diploma coupled with three degrees: An Associate of Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Management and a Master of Education in Adult Learning and Development. With extensive research in transformative learning and leadership, teacher nonverbal immediacy behaviors, and self-directed learning coupled with a propensity and passion to enhance students literacy, reading and writing, I plan to use methods that will aid students on being independent learners by encouraging group, and individual activities to expand their intellectual acuity and cerebral ability. More importantly, I plan on highlighting the saliency of real-world applications of academic content , feedback, and relevant material to foster students’ creativity, critical reflection and thinking skills. Equally valuable, I aim to help students identify and be transparent about their academic, and future careers goals, so that I can understand their academic needs to provide an educational apparatus to be successful. Lastly, I will teach them with alacrity, be altruistic in my approach and do everything that I can to help students accomplish their learning objectives.
