About Emily
I have worked as a tutor for 3 years, primarily tutoring middle and high school students in English, Math, and the Sciences. I graduated from Columbia with a BA in Biological Sciences and from Stanford with a MS in Community Health and Prevention Research. As a pre-med student, I have had ample education in the sciences and maths and am able to explain complex concepts in simple terms. I am passionate about inspiring students to find their passion and pursue education.

I tutor students in all subjects, with primary focus on Math, Science, and English. I typically will tutor students virtually over Zoom, but am open to tutoring in person in Manhattan. I create personalized worksheets and lesson plans tailored to the student’s needs prior to meeting with each student. Depending on the student's preferences for learning, I am able to adapt my lesson plans to accommodate visual and auditory learning. I also am available for homework help!
