I prefer high school and junior college levels, but have helped graduate students who are weak in statistics or other math.
The first time there is evaluation of any tests, notes, and textbook material. I want to know what bothers you. If it is a teacher I downplay the problem and work on the solution: I encourage you to work with what you have and focus on learning the material.
I will demonstrate as necessary encouraging your participation to verify that you are getting it.
