About Emma
Hello - I’m a Durham University graduate with a background in Psychology and experience teaching Secondary Maths.
I believe that everyone can succeed in Maths with the right support, and I’ve seen this first-hand - having helped many pupils build confidence, make strong progress, and achieve top GCSE grades.
My Psychology degree helps me understand how students learn, what builds motivation, and how to adapt lessons to different learning styles, while also stretching high-achieving students so they continue to grow. I’ve watched students move from feeling stuck or anxious to feeling capable and proud of their progress.
Alongside this, my work as a Management Consultant allows me to bring real-world problem solving, structure, and analytical thinking into lessons, showing how Maths is used beyond the classroom and making learning more meaningful and motivating.
