About Sara
I am a natural historian with over 30 years experience. I have taught all ages and worked for many national wildlife organisations. I helped develop a natural history GCSE and currently teach art and ecology through community classes.
I have traveled all over the world studying wildlife and have published books and articles on various subjects.

Each session will focus on a different aspect of UK wildlife with an emphasis on field skills and ecology. We’ll build up your knowledge and confidence so that you will develop a life long love of wildlife.
We’ll use a powerful method of learning through field sketches and note taking, reviewing and developing your curiosity.
You’ll be confident to identify wild flowers, insects, birds and bird song, mammals, plus much more. You will gain an understanding of habitats, conservation and species ecology. It’s great fun and can be studied all year round.
You can use your skills to support biology, natural sciences and ecology.
