About Sam

As an experienced Maths tutor with over 5 years of tutoring experience, I can help your child enhance their academic performance and excel in their exams.

I have experience teaching all exam boards up to GCSE level including Edexcel, AQA and OCR and I've helped students at every ability level achieve their goals.

I believe every student has the potential to succeed in mathematics when given the right support and encouragement. My approach focuses on building understanding from the ground up, ensuring they not only improve their grades but also develop genuine confidence in their mathematical abilities that will serve them well beyond their exams.

About the lesson

In the first couple of sessions, I'll assess the student's current level to pinpoint exactly where they need support and identify which topic areas to focus on. We'll then work through real exam questions together, building confidence and ensuring thorough preparation for their exams. I'm patient throughout this process, providing guidance and encouragement every step of the way to keep them motivated and make learning enjoyable.

Over the years, I’ve studied the key elements of each exam and broken them down question by question. From the very first lesson, students begin tackling real exam questions, regardless of current ability. I also make sure to cover any gaps in knowledge, ensuring they're ready for every type of question that could appear on the exam.
