About Lea
I attended high school in both Australia and France, which gave me valuable insight into different educational systems and learning approaches. I studied Marine Science and Environmental Science at university and achieved First Class Honors (HD level) in my honors research.
Alongside my academic background, I have extensive practical experience, including obtaining my Yachtmaster Offshore qualification and PADI Dive instructor. I am also currently studying a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. This combination of academic achievement and real-world experience allows me to explain concepts in a practical and relatable way.

I believe that every student learns differently, so my priority is understanding how each student learns best. This includes identifying their preferred learning style, the times of day when they are most productive, and the amount of time they can realistically dedicate to study. By understanding these factors, I can tailor lessons to suit their individual needs and help them achieve their goals efficiently.
My teaching style focuses on building a strong foundational understanding rather than simply memorizing information. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and develop confidence in applying concepts independently. Lessons are interactive, supportive, and adapted to the student's pace and learning objectives.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's needs. Sessions generally include a review of previous material, guided learning of new concepts, worked examples, and practice questions to reinforce understanding.
I offer lessons for primary, secondary and university students, as well as adult learners seeking additional support. I am particularly suited to students studying science-related subjects, environmental studies, marine science, and those looking to improve their study skills, organization, and confidence in learning.
