About Kate
I have taught private lessons both through independent freelance and a corporate program. I teach students of all ages and love to discover people's "why" for learning music. I teach music to bring people joy during stressful times and help inspire creativity in people. Whether you're looking to survive a music theory class, learn an instrument for the first time, or improve your already advanced skills, I am excited to work with you.

I tailor each lesson to meet a student's interests and needs. I balance hard academic points (theory and technique) with fun, focusing on teaching through a student's favorite songs and having them perform as they learn. I love to help students play the songs that got them interested in the music and understand why what they're playing sounds good through technique and theory lessons.
Skill levels:
Beginner to advanced level of bass guitar and music theory
Beginner to intermediate level of guitar and songwriting
