About Hallam
I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2023 with a degree in songwriting and another in production and have been teaching and playing guitar in New York City, the Midwest, and now the DMV since. Some of my strengths as a teacher are customization and range: lesson plans will be tailored to YOUR goals as an artist and musician.

It is very important to me that lessons are tailored to the student's needs. The following are just examples of what a lesson COULD look like:
BEGINNER LESSON PLAN (30 min)
00:00 - 05:00: Warm-up (for example: chromatic finger exercise, or chord shapes)
05:00-20:00: Technique study (for example: working on improvisation techniques over a jazz standard, working on fingerstyle guitar, learning a guitar solo)
20:00-30:00: Tune study (jam on some of your favorite tunes you’ve been working on!)
INTERMEDIATE LESSON PLAN (50 min)
00:00 - 10:00: Warm-up (for example: inversions of melodic minor scale with passing tones, arpeggios up and down the fretboard)
10:00 - 30:00 Technique study (for example: learning and analyzing advanced jazz guitar solos, developing advanced fingerstyle techniques, working on chord solos, transcribing and learning crucial music from various genres)
30:00 - 50:00: Tune study (jamming on songs of your choice in addition to jamming the repertoire developed in-lesson)
