About Daniel
I am very serious about the music but I am also relaxed and like to tell jokes as I am preaching about my passion. I will be tackling the role as a tutor during my lessons but at the very core I am a student as well. This means that I go into my lessons offering whatever knowledge I have but also having an expectation to learn something from the student. Music is a very personalized means of artistic expression and I truly believe everyone has something to say if they just put in the hours needed to achieve excellence and beyond.

My approach as a tutor depends on the age of the student and how well versed they are in the subject. If the student is an adolescent beginner with no prior experience then I have to be incredibly patient with their progress and encouraging whenever they are feeling discouraged. But if the student is more advanced and is serious about learning then I will also meet them with a serious attitude and be critical when giving feedback. A typical lesson plan organized by me will consist of various topics such as piano technique, building repertoire, and harmonic ear training. What sets me apart as a tutor is my passion for teaching ear training. The topic of ear training is something that gets neglected because of the false stereotype that you can only be born with a good ear. This is of course false which is why I'm so adamant on teaching it and disproving that misconception. My lessons are simply for anyone who wants to learn about music.

Perfect! Laid back, very patient, low pressure style of teaching. Very flexible and will cater piano lesson to your needs. Very encouraging when I make mistakes, which I do frequently as I’m very new to piano.
