About Paola
I've been teaching and tutoring for approximately four years. I became biliterate at a very young age. My first language is Spanish and learned English at 7 years old. I enjoy teaching and supporting others achieve language proficiency. I am always open to modify/tailor instruction based on my students' individual needs.

I am an easy going person. Therefore, my teaching methods and techniques are also flexible. I take constructive feedback very seriously from colleagues, administration, and students. I am always open to modify instruction based on my students' individual needs.
A teaching technique I frequently implement is the: I do, we do, you do strategy. This allows the teacher to model the desired task, work in collaboration with the student, and then release responsibility to the student to demonstrate understanding of the lesson.
I am an elementary dual-language immersion teacher (English and Spanish). However, I am flexible and can teach higher grades with an emphasis on language development.
