About Thomas
My experience has been developed through a strong academic background in politics from Cardiff University, as well as working in the Welsh Parliament, under a the Education portfolio. Having worked in the public domain for some time, I have a very well rounded and deep understanding of the political sphere; how politics works to better the lives of the public; how government is structure and how it operates day to day; and what the key principles of public life and political parties are, and how they tie in to political decision making at the highest levels.
Politics is at the heart of all our lives and it is vital that we do our best to understand why decisions are made by the people who make them, for the benefit of our society. Teaching politics in an informed, evidenced, and unbiased way is what I can promise, especially with the wealth of experience I have behind me.

My lessons are delivered in a very structured way to ensure all key elements are taught and understood clearly and effectively. Acknowledging all students have different styles of learning, I am experienced in and have a strong capacity to alter the way in which I teach directly - depending on the most optimal approach necessary to get the best out of each student. The lessons are interactive so that all students feel comfortable in engaging with the material; can ask any question they like; and can engage in meaningful discussion on any topic.
I offer a free introductory session so that all learners can get a good impression of my teaching style, and exactly what they will be learning about. I have experience teaching English as a foreign language and tutoring secondary school-aged students in Religious Studies, Philosophy, Maths, and Politics. I also have experience as a personal tutor at university level to students of varying abilities and ages.
