About Tamar
I went through the middle school and high school French Immersion program in Canada and then spent a year studying in a public high school in Pau, France. These experiences made me want to continue my learning in my undergraduate studies at Columbia University, where I decided to minor in French while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
I have experience tutoring French to middle schoolers, high schoolers, and undergraduate students. I have worked both in-person and over Zoom!

I love the French language, but I know it can feel like there is an overwhelming amount of information and rules to remember. Throughout my undergraduate experience I found tricks that worked for me, and ways to think about concepts that help you not only memorize, but understand the language more fully. I also have experience working as a tutor, so I know how to customize our sessions for each unique student until we find what works best.
